What is on-time in-full (OTIF)?
On-time in-full (OTIF) is the percentage of orders delivered both complete and within the agreed delivery window. It is stricter than fill rate, because an order that shipped complete but arrived late still fails.
How it works
Each customer sets the rules in its own agreement: whether “on time” is measured against the requested or the promised date, how wide the window is, whether “in full” is judged by line or by order, and whether substitutions count. Some large customers put OTIF on supplier scorecards and apply penalties when it falls short.
On-time in-full (OTIF) example
Of ten orders last week, nine arrived complete and eight arrived on time, but only seven were both, so OTIF was 70%.
