What is house account?
A house account is a customer account that isn’t assigned to an individual sales rep and is managed by the company itself, often with no commission paid. Accounts become house accounts when they are large enough for management to handle directly, when a rep leaves, or when the customer buys mostly online or at the counter.
House account example
When a rep retires, 30 of her smaller accounts become house accounts until the sales manager reassigns them.
