What is product data enrichment?
Product data enrichment is the work of filling in and improving the information about each product so the item can be found, compared and sold. It covers missing attributes, descriptions, images, documents and classifications, and distributors do it because what suppliers send is frequently incomplete and formatted differently from one supplier to the next.
Product data enrichment example
Nine hundred new fittings arrive with part numbers, prices and one-line descriptions. Sizes, materials, pressure ratings, images and spec sheets are added from the manufacturer’s catalog before the items go live.
